Brief Active Buzzer Component Introduction

Active buzzers are a really simple component. Just apply a voltage they are rated for, positive to the positive side, and they buzz. They are very loud and annoying. Commonly used as alarms.

I see active buzzers like mine connected to 5V, so that is usually the maximum voltage I connect mine to.

A series switch of some kind, makes it so the buzzer only buzzes when the switch is closed.
