LM334 three terminal adjustable current source component
A really easy way to get a steady current of 1µA to 10mA is to use a LM334 three terminal adjustable current source. All you need is a single resistor to set the current. The current flowing through the LM334 and all series components (with sufficient voltage) will be approximately 0.064V (64mV) divided by the resistance used.
